What we build for you

Built to order, under your brand.

Retail CBDC wallets

Wallets for central bank digital currencies, such as India's e-rupee, built into your existing banking or payments app.

Wholesale CBDC and settlement

Integration with wholesale CBDC pilots and settlement platforms for banks taking part in them.

Offline and programmable payments

Offline transfers and purpose-bound payments where the central bank's design allows them.

Bank integration

Connections between the CBDC platform, your core banking system, deposits and reporting.

CBDC wallet development puts a central bank digital currency, such as India's e-rupee, inside the app your customers already use. We design, build and integrate the wallet, the connection to the central bank platform and the reporting. The central bank issues the currency, and an authorised bank or licensed partner distributes it, where the programme permits.

Retail and wholesale CBDC

Retail programmes give people a digital form of cash that sits beside their bank deposits. Wholesale programmes let banks settle with each other in central bank money. We build for both, starting from the specification each central bank publishes for its participants.

Offline and programmable payments

Some programmes allow small payments without a network connection, or money that can only be spent for a set purpose, such as a benefit or a subsidy. We build these features only as the central bank designs them, and we test them with your partner before customers see them.

What you own

Your customers hold deposits and digital currency in one app. The central bank and your licensed partner run the currency itself.

Questions

What clients ask us

Who issues the CBDC in a wallet you build?

Only the central bank issues a central bank digital currency, and participating banks or licensed intermediaries distribute it. Finoserv builds the wallet, the integration with the central bank platform and the reporting, for an institution that is authorised to take part, where the programme permits it.

Can a CBDC wallet sit inside our current mobile banking app?

In most programmes, yes. We add the CBDC wallet as a module in your existing app, connected to your core banking system, so customers can move between deposits and digital currency without a second app.
