Merchant lending

A POS solution for banks has to serve two audiences: the merchant at the counter and the bank's own teams behind it. Finoserv designs, builds, integrates and runs merchant technology for banks, acquirers, payment facilitators and telecoms. Acquiring, settlement and card network membership are regulated activities, carried out by the bank or the licensed acquirer, which also sets merchant risk policy.

SoftPOS and tap to phone payments

Many small merchants would rather use a phone than buy a terminal. We build SoftPOS apps that turn an NFC-enabled Android phone into a card acceptance device, along with the PIN entry and security components the acquirer's certification path requires. Certification is completed by the acquirer with the card networks and an accredited lab; we prepare the build and the documentation for it and fix what testing finds.

Terminal software and QR payments

For merchants on Android POS terminals, we build payment apps and value-added apps such as invoicing, tips and simple inventory. QR payments on local schemes run alongside cards, so one sales report covers every method a customer used.

Merchant acquiring platform

Behind the counter, the bank needs to onboard merchants, manage terminals and settle funds. We build digital merchant onboarding with business verification through your chosen vendor, a terminal management system, settlement and fee reports, and dispute handling that follows the acquirer's chargeback process. Relationship managers get a portfolio view of merchants by volume, risk and product.

Loyalty programme platform and merchant lending

Merchants tend to stay with a bank that helps them sell more. We build loyalty programmes with points, cashback and offers that the bank or the merchant funds. Sales data from the POS can also support merchant lending offers made by a licensed lender, with repayment taken as a share of daily settlement where the lender's product allows it. The lending side runs on our digital lending platform.

Delivery

Discover takes two to four weeks and covers device choice, certification steps, local schemes and the acquirer's host integration. It ends in a fixed quote. Build runs in two-week cycles with a working demo each time. For banks that also reach unbanked areas through agents, our agency banking software runs on the same Android devices, so one estate of hardware can serve both.

What you own

The bank or acquirer owns its merchant platform and data, with acquiring and settlement under its own or its partner's licence.

Questions

What clients ask us

What is SoftPOS and can a bank launch it for its merchants?

SoftPOS lets a merchant accept contactless card payments on an NFC-enabled Android phone without a separate terminal. A bank or licensed acquirer can launch it under its acquiring licence once the app passes the certification its card networks require. Finoserv builds the app and its supporting components, prepares the certification documentation and integrates the acquirer's host systems.

Can your merchant acquiring platform work with our existing switch?

Yes. We integrate with existing switches, card management and settlement systems through their interfaces, and add merchant onboarding, terminal management, reporting and dispute workflows around them. Discover maps what your current systems already do well, so we avoid rebuilding it. The acquirer's risk and compliance teams set the onboarding rules, which the platform then applies consistently.

How do QR payments fit with card acceptance on the same POS?

QR and card payments run in the same POS app and appear in one sales report and one settlement view. We support static and dynamic QR codes on the local schemes your bank participates in. Reconciliation matches each QR payment to its scheme settlement, so merchants and the bank's operations team see one consistent record of the day's takings.
